In the first part we play as Simon Belmont. In Bloodlines we play as John Morris (descendant of the Belmont clan) and Eric Lecard (who wields Alucard’s spear). The action of the first castle took place in 1691 and Bloodline in 1917. And in the first part we run only around the castle, while in the bloodline throughout Europe (and the first level is, of course, Dracula’s ruined castle, which evokes notes of nostalgia). Also in Portrait of Ruin we play as Jonathan Morris, son of John Morris.
